GRETSCH - G5622 Electromatic® - FT Center Block, Double-Cut with V-Stoptail - Laurel Fingerboard - Olive Metallic

Product Code: 250-8300-598

Alive and loud, Electromatic® Center Block guitars are designed for that pure and powerful Gretsch sound at high volume. The G5622 Electromatic® Center Block Double-Cut with V-Stoptail features a double-cutaway maple body with chambered spruce center block for dynamic resonance, high gain power and lightweight comfort.

For a double-cutaway semi-hollowbody that’s teeming with classic Gretsch styling, look no further than the G5622 Electromatic. This handsome electric guitar delivers a shimmering sparkle — and that’s before you even plug it in! Amplified, the G5622 exhibits a balanced sound, thanks to its Black Top Broad’Tron humbuckers, while a weight-relieved center block provides feedback-free performance — even under high gain.

You’ll appreciate the comfortable playability of this semi's U-shaped neck, and its anchored Adjusto-matic, Gretsch V-Stoptail tailpiece serves up all the sustain you could ever want. Make no mistake, the Gretsch G5622 Electromatic is a surefire way to chase the vintage hollowbody tones you’ve always craved.

Laminated maple body provides excellent tonal definition
Maple is one of the most lively, bright, and colorful tonewoods out there, which is exactly why Gretsch decided to make their G5622 Electromatic almost entirely out of this wonderful wood. This semi-hollowbody’s laminated body yields a wonderfully snappy, open tone that — when combined with the balanced character of its Black Top Broad’Tron pickups — cuts through a dense mix and sounds great in any situation.

Long spruce center block delivers feedback-free hollowbody tone
Thanks to its long spruce center block, you get a lot of tonal bang for your buck with the Gretsch G5622 Electromatic. Running the full length of the body, the center block allows the otherwise hollow body to resist resonant-frequency feedback.

Three volume controls, one tone control: exceptional sonic flexibility
It’s easy to stereotype the Gretsch G5622 Electromatic until you play it, and then you realize just how versatile it is. With a volume control for each pickup, you can create your perfect balance between warmth, bite, and brilliance when both pickups are engaged.

The master tone control lets you fine-tune your sound once you’ve got the pickups dialed in. And thanks to the master volume control, you can take your tube amp from clean to growling without changing the balance between your pickups. Of course, you’ll get sweet tone from the neck and bridge pickups individually, but there’s a lot of territory to cover when you combine them.

Highlights:

Dual Black Top Broad'Tron™ humbucking pickups deliver chiming highs with dynamic and articulate tone for enhanced sonic punch. Flexibly harness its sonic power with a versatile control layout consisting of a master volume control with treble bleed circuit, master tone, individual pickup volume controls and three-position pickup toggle switch.

The G5622's other features include an anchored Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, Graph Tech® NuBone® nut and G-arrow knobs.

Painstakingly crafted with essential Gretsch sound, style and playability, the G5622 is offered in three stunning finishes: Aged Walnut, Black Gold or Bristol Fog with nickel hardware and aged white body binding with multi-ply purfling. The Aged Walnut and Black Gold finishes feature a gold pickguard, while Bristol Fog comes with a black pickguard.
