The Epiphone J-45™ Standard is part of the all-new Epiphone Studio Acoustic collection. These guitars have been completely redesigned to offer the most authentic and affordable acoustic models, inspired by iconic Gibson designs. The J-45 Studio combines classic design with modern features and is designed to appeal to both beginners and experienced musicians alike. Inspired by the classic Gibson J-45, nicknamed “The Workhorse,” the J-45 Studio features a sloped-shoulder body and a 24.75-inch scale length, just like the Gibson model that inspired it. The J-45 Studio delivers a warm, rich tone with exceptional clarity, making it ideal for a wide range of musical styles.

The J-45 Standard features a laminated mahogany body with a four-layer ivory and black binding on the top, a single-layer ivory binding on the back, and a solid spruce top, delivering a responsive and balanced tone with excellent dynamic range that will continue to improve over time. The mahogany neck is joined to the body via a tapered, glued dovetail joint and features a rounded C-shape profile that ensures optimal playing comfort. The neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard featuring 20 standard frets and simple mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The other ends of the strings pass through a compensated plastic nut and are secured to the face-up rosewood bridge using ivory-colored bridge pins. We’ve also added other details that give the J-45 Studio an even more vintage visual appeal, including a dark tortoiseshell-colored teardrop-shaped pickguard, three-in-one tuners with ivory-colored plastic buttons, and a 1960s Kalamazoo-style headstock proudly displaying the gold-screen-printed Epiphone logo.

It is equipped with a Fishman electronics system, featuring an S-Core under-saddle pickup and a Fishman Presys VT preamp with volume and tone controls mounted on the soundhole, which are easy and quick for the musician to access while remaining virtually invisible to the audience. The Epiphone J-45 Studio features a gloss finish and is available in two vintage-inspired colors: Natural and Vintage Sunburst. Right-handed and left-handed versions are available. A standard gig bag is also included.
